How can we
help you?

I double ordered by mistake!!!!!

Not to worry - give your local a call and let them know (a contact number is on their profile in the app under Opening Hours - Show More). They can cancel the order and make sure you don’t get charged twice and that no food or drinks go to waste.

I never received my order but got charged.

Please contact the venue you placed your order with. They have complete control over your Tab and also payment. Explain the situation and they can easily process a refund for you. It helps if you have the last 4 digits of your card handy and details about the order.

Can I use an alternative to Gmail to set up an account?

Yes! You can sign up to Regulr with any valid email address on an iOS device. You will need to validate the address using our “Magic Link”, set up your Profile info (name and emoji) and you’re away! This is not yet available for Android (gmail sign up only).

I am unable to Sign In with my Android Device

We are currently going through an upgrade of the Android version of Regulr. This project started in March 2023 and is due for completion in May 2023. Till then some Android users will be unable to use Regulr. We apologise for any inconvenience this creates in the short term.

I’m unable to order but my balance shows $0?

If you’ve had three payment failures on the card attached to Regulr, the amount owing is moved off Regulr for collection via an invoice. An invoice with simple payment options will have been sent to your Regulr email address automatically (check spam folder if you can’t see it or pop into the venue to settle the tab). Once you’re all paid up, you'll be able to use or change your card in Regulr and order your favourite treats again!

What does it cost me to use Regulr?

It’s free to place an order through Regulr and if you pay for your items when you pick them up then it is free as well! However, if you let Regulr handle your tab payment, there is a small Tab Processing Fee of 99c for this convenience. This helps to cover the cost of providing you this service.

Why the 99c Tab Processing Fee?

The Tab Processing Fee covers the costs of providing you a simple and convenient way to pay for your tabs. For example, if you have placed orders at two different venues e.g. 5 coffees at your morning coffee shop and maybe a few drinks at your local pub, Regulr can simply handle paying your outstanding tabs for only $1.98 ( 2 Tabs x 99c = $1.98) - saving you the hassle of paying for each order.

What commission do you take?

0% - yup your local gets 100% of the bill. We don’t take any form of commission for helping process the order. We only charge the venues a small flat monthly fee to be on the platform and you the 99c if you pay via Regulr. That way your local gets all the money for all the delicious treats you order.

Why do you not charge a % rather than 99c?

Regulr is used by many different types of hospo businesses - not only coffee joints, which means the average spend is higher than ~$40 per tab. So rather than taking 5%-35% like other mobile ordering apps, we wanted to keep it simple and affordable for both you and the business.

What do you charge the venues?

The venues who are on Regulr are charged $39 per month. Again no % of the order is taken; a simple flat fee to make it easier for them to manage.

Can I avoid paying the 99c fee?

You sure can! All you need to do is pay for your order when you pick it up at the counter. As long as you have paid for your tab directly with your local before Saturday night you can avoid paying the tab processing fee. If you choose to use “pay now” via the Regulr app you will incur the .99c fee.

I need to change my Credit Card but it won’t let me?

For security reasons the system won't allow you to make changes to your saved card until your account is showing a $0.00 balance and any invoices sent to you are paid. To check this go to Profile > Payment Details. If you are seeing an amount there, get in touch with your local - you can either pay off the tab in-store or they can create an invoice and send it to your Regulr email address. If you have had three payment failures on the card, an invoice with payment options will be sent to your Regulr email address automatically. Once you’re all paid up, you'll be able to change your card with no issue and order your favourite treats again!

I can’t find my local?

There could be a few reasons for this:

  1. Your local is not on Regulr - you could ask them if they are keen and let us know.

  2. Your local is not super close (>30kms) or there are too many Regulr venues (>45) between you and your local. Next time you are at your local try adding it to your Favourites - then you will always have access to their menu no matter where you are.

I can’t see any venues on Map mode (iPhone only)?

Double-check you have “Location Services” turned on for the Regulr app on your phone or that you haven’t got some filters on by mistake.

I would like a refund

Please contact the venue directly as they have full control of orders, payments and refunds. We cannot do this on their behalf.

They will need:

  • The last 4 digits of your credit card

  • Your full name and email on your Regulr account

  • The date and time you placed the order

  • The full amount of the original transaction

They will be able to sort you out from there.

I would like to provide you some constructive feedback

Great! Feel free to leave your ideas in the contact form below. It is still early days for Regulr so we are keen to get feedback. Being a small team based out of Wellington, NZ, we can’t make promises that your ideas will get immediately actioned, but will definitely add them to the ‘To Do’ list.

What is a Tab?

A Tab is the ability to place a number of orders at a venue which they collate together so you only have to pay once.
